Drone greenhouse shading

Spraying reflective shading paint (ReduSol, ReduFlex and similar) onto glasshouse and polytunnel roofs is one of the strongest commercial drone use cases in the UK. The XAG P100 Pro can cover roughly a hectare of glass in under an hour — around five times faster than a cherry-picker and lance crew, with nobody walking on the roof.
Why drone wins almost every time
- Working at height removed. The biggest single risk in conventional shading work, gone.
- Roughly 5x faster than a manual crew on the same area.
- Even coverage. The drone flies a programmed grid above the roof; the boom delivers a calibrated rate.
About Yorkshire
Yorkshire isn't one of the UK's main glasshouse clusters (those are Lea Valley, Kent, Lancashire and the Vale of Evesham). We list this service because the network can deliver it — if you're in one of those clusters and want to talk to a pilot, get in touch.
Pricing
Priced per job — driven by roof area, the product you're using, and access. The drone covers roughly a hectare of glass an hour, which is where the time saving over a cherry-picker crew comes from. Tell us your site and we'll come back with a firm number.
